Newcastle web design agency targets £2m revenue with six-figure investment

A Newcastle web design agency is eyeing a £2m turnover following a six-figure investment in staff and services.

Sleeky, which provides web design, e-commerce and branding advice to clients in the North East and across the UK, says it has seen growth from its investment and now hopes to reach full sales. £2 million in business by 2023.

The company, which employs 14 people, recently secured new contracts with US-based gaming platform Strive Gaming and London-based Fight or Flight.

Other clients include property, leisure and care company Malhotra Group, Newcastle University, Newcastle and Gateshead Councils and Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The investment saw several new appointments at Sleeky, including three web developers, a graphic and web designer, and digital marketing executives.

Chief executive David Chapman, who founded the company in 2009, said the success was the result of hard work supporting customers during the pandemic.

He said: “We have continued to invest in opportunities, develop relationships and expand our operations even during the darkest days of the pandemic. We are busier than ever, with the creative experience and technical skills available to meet the needs of our clients, who are always under pressure to deliver their projects on time.

“We are excited about the future with a host of interesting and important clients talking to us now, which will support our growing national footprint and reinforce the North East’s reputation as a growing creative hotspot.”
