Chester County Economic Development Board Redesigns Website to Improve Access to Information | Business

UWCHLAN – The Chester County Economic Development Board has unveiled a redesign of its website. The new design should make it easier for visitors to find information about the organization’s core activities – financing solutions, location services, workforce development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Whether you’ve been doing business with us for 30 years or new to CCEDC, we see ourselves as a community business service and are committed to being accessible,” said Gary Smith, Chairman and CEO of the Board of economic development, in a statement. He added that the redesigned website makes it easier for businesses to find the information “they need during this critical time for recovery and growth.”

“For over 60 years, our mission has been focused on smart growth while preserving the unparalleled quality of place we enjoy in Chester County. Our website has been intentionally designed to reflect this balanced mission, ”said Michael Grigalonis, chief operating officer and executive vice president, in a statement.

When a business owner visits the website, the four basic services are listed prominently and can be accessed with one click:

• Financing solutions – through federal, state and local agencies that also complement conventional business loans

• Workforce Development Solutions – to help companies hire, support job seekers and train their employees

• Location services: to help businesses find the right location

• Innovation and Entrepreneurship Tools – to help with funding, workspace, business orientation and key connections

According to the agency, the services are administered through various industry partnerships, affiliate organizations and initiatives – which can also be viewed on the website. Targeted resources are available for a variety of sectors including: advanced manufacturing, agriculture, energy, healthcare, information technology and international trade.

The launch of the new website was done in collaboration with Miller Designworks of Phoenixville.

The Chester County Economic Development Council is a private, non-profit economic development organization that promotes smart growth in Chester County and the surrounding area. The agency has helped more than 1,300 Chester County businesses with COVID relief funding through its work in administering the Chester County Main Street Preservation Program Grants, CWCA Loans, CHIRP Grants and the federal paycheck protection program.
